Secure the chuck assembly into the designated port at the front of the machine and tighten the locking collar by hand. Align the drive belt and confirm smooth rotation before initiating any job. This straightforward installation requires no additional tools.
Unlike the two-point contact of the chuck or the cylinder-hugging rollers, the sphere mount supports objects at a single, central point. This design minimizes distortion when engraving balls, rings, or domed items. By centering rotation on the object’s geometry, you achieve consistent engraving depths across the entire surface.
Dynamic adjustments in the sphere mount compensate for minor taper, and the chuck’s self-centering jaws accommodate slight variations in diameter. They ensure your designs wrap uniformly without distortion. For pronounced taper, consider using the roller set for better surface contact.
By combining sphere mounts with taper-compensation software, slight cone angles self-adjust as the rotary feed axis shifts focus incrementally. They maintain even depth without multiple jobs or manual head adjustments. Reposition our laser engraver and rotary attachments for angles beyond 10° for best results.
